I red somewhere that the RED EVO has no clearcoat is this true??And if so why do the other colors?? thanks

 

It is true AFAIK that no Evo's in the US have a clear coat.

SC's right, I don't think any of the Evo's got a clearcoat.. My Tarmac Black one definitely doesnt, and it chips and gets damaged REAL easy with pine tar, tree sap, or bird poo that gets baked on..

 

My car has clearcoating on it.

 

the way to tell if when you wax your car with a white rag if any of the color bleeds onto the cloth, then you have no clearcoat.

 

I don't use a wax with a cleaner, so the paint doesnt bleed onto the cloth no matter which of my cars I wax.. but when I got tree sap it hazed the paint, and when I was cleaning it, the paint did rub off. The problem is the paint is damaged pretty deeply. I do plan on painting the car about this time next year for the Car show at the Nassau Coliseum in 2004 (Not showing any cars this year.. sorry)

 

I use zainos and love it , i try to avoid abrasive waxes. And if it did bleed the that means you have no CC
