Debadged
Just debadged my trunk over the last 2 days.
Used the fishing line method to get the emblems off, then Goo Gone to get the glue off. When I was done getting all the glue off I washed the car, clayed and waxed the trunk and there were a good amount of swirl scratches around the emblems. :cry: Not sure why, I used a non-scratching cloth when applying the Goo Gone.
At this point I did a little research online and came across Meguiars Scratch-X and red some pretty good reviews. So today I decided to go out and buy some.
Got home today and tried out the Scratch-X, and damn, that stuff is amazing! It's like magic for fine scratches. When I was done with the trunk, it looked so good I wanted to do my whole car! (but didn't of course, my arm would be dead)
+1 for Meguiars Scratch-X!
Also, I broke the "Evolution" emblem when taking it off, which made me think to break it down to just "Evo" and put it on the front of the car. It's just there with painters tape while I took a pic, nothing permanent but just an idea. Yay? Nay?

I personally like the Lancer, Evolution & the Mitsu badge......Maybe I'm old school, but the badges are what was meant to be & removing them only defaces the original.

Oh, and the Evo logo looks alright. I like that kind of stuff off-centered and to the side.. From the picture it looks like it is smack-dab centered, but I'm not 100% sure.

I like the debadged look. I've pulled the badges off of every car i've owned except for the evo. My wife likes them and gives me a bunch of guff whenever i tell her that i'm going to take them off......... She's going to be surprised one day when she comes home.

Yea the "Evo" logo might could use some moving around, I'm thinking in the upper right corner of that area. Hmm.

I like the debadged look. I've pulled the badges off of every car i've owned except for the evo. My wife likes them and gives me a bunch of guff whenever i tell her that i'm going to take them off......... She's going to be surprised one day when she comes home.
