Did you have to buy your tuner a plane ticket to come? Pay for his living expenses?

I have been to China 3 times and those pictures bring back memories.

Very nice that you are sharing with us.

It was the top of the range window tint from 3M, the normal ones can be done for around 2600 RMB it's the front windscreen tint that cost the most !!! Car Modifying is expensive everywhere really, and no i do not like pple to know how much i spend on my car and i'm not that rich actually, if i was rich i would be driving a 1000hp GTR35 or a Lambogini as a weekend car and a BMW X6M or M5 as my daily driver...

I admire that you can drive this kind of car in PR China, for me it's a track car! On top of it not having the tuner around with such a level of tune is surprising.
I was working in China 25 years ago and visited Kunming several times; it's a very pleasant place allways mild weather ! Sure the roads may have improved in 25 years especially considering the pace of modernisation in China (although you mention that the road are bumpy...), but what I am not sure is the level of expertise of the local drivers (your accident just confirming this point) .
Visiting HKG every year I know that the place is full of fans of the Evo (including the infamous Jaky Chan) and there are many good shops there proposing affordable prices for Japanese brand (for US parts I don't know).
Pls let us know the development of your Evo and keep going with this good story
