i got the windows on the EVO tinted on Tuesday and the car has been sitting since... well, i washed it today and i have a ****LOAD of fine scratch marks on the rear quarter panels...!!

do they cut the tint on the outsdie of the window...? it looks like someone was leaning and rubbing up on my **** with some ****in jeans or something...

i'm going back tomorrow, to make a complaint... do you think they will pay to have the damage repaired... i think it should be able to be buffed out, but i'm not sure...

 

dude, that's crazy! I would most definitely take it back and demand they fix what they screwed up...noone should even touch the body of the car whent tinting...I'm getting mine tinted next weekend as well...I'll be over thier shoulders now!! Good Luck!

 

they will deny that they did it, because, like said above, they dont need to do anything on the outside of the car
But good luck.. I'd go back and complain though, never know, they might actually confess..

 

Good luck, They are going to say you did it, you have too look over it then and there. But I do know what you are saying, you should not have to look over your car for a tint job.

 

Sorry to hear about the scratches. Do you have any pics of the car with the tints? What levels did you go with? How does it look?

As for the scratches - most good tint places have people wear sweats or other non-scratching clothes and make everyone take off watches, rings, etc. (all good paint shops, too).

 

That's why i'm leaving my **** alone.

 

yes actually they do have to cut the tint on the outisde of the windows. i love how everyone on this forum just jumps to say stuff when they dont even know whats going on.

i just hope that the marks some out with some buffing... cause if not, i'm gonna be PISSED...!!! more than i already am...

 

good luck with that problem diesel and yes some window tinters do trace from the outside mainly the rear window.

they cut the tint on the outside of the window. then peal the backing and stick it on the inside.
aparently tinting is some devil act no one has seen.
