Question 3M Invinca Shield

Hey i was reading an article in Auto trim and restyling news and i came across an article about this clear film that goes over your paint; front bumper and hood to prevent paint chiping.

Has anyone tryed this or have any thing to say about it? Seems like a good answer to stop those paint chips from happening.

I heard nothing but good things about it. It isn't too noticable, but it's pretty expensive stuff.

The film itself is great at protecting paint from chips. The difference is in the kit, pattern, and installer. There are some really good companies out there putting out quality stuff like www.xpel.com, so shop around...

Here's my experience with such a product.

I'm still waiting to see pics of a black Evo with any of the aforementioned products. That's the real test.

If anyone has any questions about the clear bra and the products that are used please feel free to let me know. As you can see from EVO007 post and thread. I am willing to help out, educate and make adjustments if necessary. I will do what I can to help out.

As for pics on a black Evo I dont have sorry. This might not be everyone's favorite car, but it is black with the front end protected.

Hey, I like the STi, and I especially like it in black. That looks pretty good, but one could hope for a better photo to get a good idea. I appreciate you posting what you have though.

I just had the X-Pel hood & front bumper, fender, rocker panel, optically correct head light kit installed this last weekend (Rocker panel kit not available through X-Pel, installer custom made).

The kit is very expensive, it's the best on the market in my opinion. I also had one of the best installers in So. Calif. do the work. When it was all said & done my bill was $1,234.00. The installer that did my work was a Company called "Chips Away", they are located in Orange Calif.

Use the X-Pel link below to educate yourself on the product. You can also locate an installer in your area as well.

does anyone know if they install the clear bra in the tri-state area? I'm from NJ, and am looking for a place to install it at least on the front end.
