that car must have had major frame issues to break and crumble like that ...30-40mph i dont see it doing that unless it was around a tree

looks like they had to cut the car a little, i doubt thats all from the actual accident.

Glad to hear everyone is safe and I wish them all a speedy recovery, but realistically given the damage to the car they were likely traveling closer to 80 mph, maybe even faster. I know the evo is no superstar in crash tests but that's horrendous structural damage for an incident at a relatively low impact speed. Good luck guys.

I would show you the pictures of a local who wrecked here on the I-(5 girard exit ( Google girard accident 4 dead mitsubishi on google and look at the pics, NOTHING survived, not even the wing, at 130+mph into a barrier, via under a truck).
But, I have seen much worse damage at low speeds ( friends hatch slid under truck at 40mph)
