I remember you posting it but did you ever convert to functional wide in the rear? or was it just the over fender? were you planning on doing anything further with the body or just as is?
Either way for a DD. i cant complain i would just convert it as is and throw some baller pieces in the motor. I have yet to see an old school Evo with some ARC love.

This will be interesting to watch. I personally am a HUGE fan of the V, VI Evo's. That 01 Mirage is in good shape, very clean!! It will be a money pit but sure will be a unique car, especailly here in SoCal.
I owned a 2000 Mirage 4dr and I must say, I still think to this day those cars were built better than our newer lancers. I didn't have one rattle, or squeak or anything in that car for the 4 yrs I owned it.
Granted my Evo has a stiffer suspension, but the Evo rattles and squeaks like a 1970's Pinto Sports Wagon!! haha.
Good Luck with the Build Im suscribed to this one too. When your done, I may even drive out to ya and take a look if you dont mind, not sure what part of SoCal that your in, but would be worth the drive to see it completed

I must agree with some of the other folks on the post, I would have started with the drivetrain first, because you may have to modify stuff in the rear and who knows what else to get the AWD system in, and you may have to repaint, who knows. I would always save paint for the very last thing on the list. To each their own.
I have seen several builds like this on the forums. Its a cool project to do, especially if your in the trade (mechanic, bodyman) you can get it done much cheaper.
Looks very nice indeed though
