Some new shots with post processing
Could use any suggestions or pointers. I'm finding it hard to get detail in my photos, I guess this is because I'm using a basic rebel xs?

What do you mean by "detail"? Sharpness? It's NOT the camera. You can try finding a more interesting location, but once you start getting a busy location, it takes away attention from the car. I like to take the car to an area with a lot of texture and it makes for a crisper picture.

not saying you shouldn't or you can't but it's not ideal
You could also bring a tad bit more light into the picture. (Adjust shutter Speed) This will help bring out more details in the darker areas. The last picture is just about perfect. The Others are good too, but alittle on the darker side. Keep it up! looks good so far.
Are you shooting in RAW?? and do you plan to do Photo Editing??

I am shooting in raw. I had to adjust the temperature a lot. I think I'll try adjusting aperture. I think it was set fast but I thought since I was shooting with a 2.8 lense it would make up for the light.
Pardon my ignorance but what's the rule of thirds? Thanks for the tips guys!
