I had an Exedy Hyper Single on a Civic I had years back. Pedal was pretty darn firm and that was on a single. I don't think the effect is three-fold with a triple, but I am sure it is pretty darn firm. This can be a pain in the a$$ for a daily driven Evo, but for one used mostly for the track it isn't a big deal.
I do not think the overall weight of a clutch is much of an issue. In terms of physical weight it is the the flywheel I believe you would be concerned with. The lighter the flywheel the quicker your acceleration, but that doesn't mean you have an optimal setup because deceleration can then be an issue.

Yeah, the physical weight is what I was talking about. The exedy triple is double the weight of the QM IIRC or therabouts. The QM also shifts a lot smoother then the exedy twins and triples.

When it comes to weight reduction I don't recall seeing many people reference the overall weight of a clutch...merely the flywheel itself.
There must be something good about the Exedy triple though because shops like BR, AWDMotorsports, etc. run it on their cars. To each is own obviously!
I want to say that the exedy triple is about 12lbs heavier then the QM, so about 66% to be somewhat accurate. A lot of people prefer the exedy triple for its weight actualy, one of the reasons that I don't. A heavier clutch will be easier to start out when on an incline vs a lighter clutch such as the QM, but there are also negatives. My main reason for picking the QM is its better shifting at higher RPMs and its cheaper rebuild costs.

Do you have the "newer" QM twin or the older version?

I was hoping it was out already...
