yes insurance is covering it, i have full coverage.
Unfortunately at this time in my life i do not have the option to park my car in a garage or in covered parking. Im a college kid living at home so my dads car hogs the garage (and thats non negotiable lol) and the front yard is my parking spot.

Aaron, I have 83 dents
Unfortunately for me, I only have liability on my cars, as full coverage for me and my gf on both of our cars was the difference from $100/month (liability) to $540/month...so given the $440 I've been saving every month, I'm still coming out saving money, especially given that with full coverage there is still a $500 or $1000 deductible.
Regardless, it's $2k that I had way better plans of spending than bringing a car back to how it was 48 hours ago

Yeah, some ungodly hail storms blew thru town last summer while I was at work. It damaged everyones cars and a lot of buildings/roofs etc. State farm set up estimate centers. The adjuster quoted like $3500 and they underestimated, had $5000 worth of damage.
I had to do catastrophe duty in Pueblo, Colorado a little over a year ago for hail damage. The damages that I saw there were bad. The average estimate was about 4-5k, but most likely they went up since a majority of the panels, especially the roof, needed replacement.
