Drove up the mountains today on a whim, decided to take some pictures up above medicine wheel here in the bighorns but all i had was my cell phone. sorry for the crappy pics.

its always up there, thats only around 9500 feet, theres way more around cloud peak where the glacier is. it snowed here a couple weeks ago too so that helps. i just wish there was more haha

its definitely not as ahh, "umph"y around 9,000 as it is at 3,000 but it still gets on it. it just feels like your running with about 3-4 less pounds of boost.
Hi there, how's the plains haha. Its good to know theres a couple other evo guys in Wyoming. theres not to many of us but i'm pretty sure anyone who likes there evo wouldn't leave Wyoming if they came and played in our mountains.
Well i actually got it from here in town, i was looking mainly in the Denver area for one and found out someone in Sheridan here was selling his and it was the exact one i wanted, stock IX MR with the SE package. so i guess i got lucky and saved myself a trip haha.

 

That's awesome. Can't get much more lucky than that.

Nothing beats the Mountain driving around here with the minimal traffic. I just came to Gillette from Montana a little over a year ago.

There are 5 other Evo's in town here.
My friends WW X that's as quick as mine, Another WW X, Black X, Silver X, and a black 425whp IX. Also a very beat up RR IX that I have seen in Sheridan also.

Any plans for it this winter?

 

i think im the only person who hasn't seen the red one here haha. as of now i don't really have any plans other than new splitter to replace the broken up stock zero lift kit, id like to stick with the stock setup till the warranty's up.

but i am a big rally guy, been one my whole life, even did some secondary entrant driving for a buddy's rally shop in italy when i lived there so when we do start modding it thats the direction its taking, along with my audi. my z is enough tarmac car for me haha.

i didn't know there where that many tens around here either, prolly mostly cuz i couldn't tell one from a new lancer anyways haha. we'll have to hook up sometime for an ebo romp up 14.

Hey btw, where do you guys get your warranty work done? i want to get my wheel bearings checked out and i really don't feel like going to the one in billings.

 

if only 3/4 of the evom population had the ***** to drive their evo on that terrain... looks like it'd be a blast and a half with mudflaps tho

 

well like i said, i have a rallying background but this car still scares the crap out of me, tarmac or dirt. its by far the most controllable car i've ever driven, to a point where you can really end up in over your head in a hurry if you let it do the driving.

 

too bad you didnt have a better camera because those are some great locations for pics

tell me about it. I am definitely going back up there when there are less hunters and with a real camera. i'm also gonna grab my buddies go pro and get some wide-angle video of me and the ebo playing on the east face of highway 14 on the way up.

And for those of you who AREN'T lucky like me and blknblubkrdude, this is that face, this is where i grew up racing. 20 min's from my door to the base.

check out highway 14 and alt 14 if your bored on google earth. its the fastest way to get from anywhere in the east to Yellowstone.
