rims...

i think at this point, my car is too low to even do the CF lip anymore... not unless i don't care about cracking it on anything in the road...

it had nothing to do with the vendor... this was clearly a manufactuer problem...

the vendor (Z1) handled it like a champ... even refunded my shipping... it doesn't get any better than that folks...

I think of the manufacturer as the vendor..and dealers as resellers, sorry

Z1 is top notch, no doubt. His reputation on the Subaru board stretches back many years.

i just can't decide what tires to go with though...

i'll probably just go with the 245/40 S03's again...

anyone else have any experience with the Toyo T1S...? these would be easier for me cause i can get them from Adam, already mounted, but i'd like to see some pics of them on an Evo... they just seem, to have a huge sidewall compared to most of the other tires out there...

You certainly can't go wrong with the SO3, I really wish they still sold the SO2 PP, though.

they do...

check out TireRack... i just can't see going with the S02... you get the same grip (IMO), and less tread wear for the same money...

the S02 sure do have a cooler tread pattern though...

Hey Adam told me you had a rubbing problem with the 245's on you wheels. Why go back? I have 245's and I really want 235's now.

Iv'e got the T1S's, best tires I've ever owned. What type of pic are you looking for? Keep in mind these are 235-40-17's.....
Here is one pic:

Not to dispute Luke and Neal, but here is my experience:
I've had both the SO2PP (not the regular SO2, or the Porsche blend), and the SO3. The SO3 is a superior tire, but it's not a superior performance tire. There is a bite to the SO2PP that simply wasn't there in the SO3. A close friend of mine happens to be a regional hoo ha for Bridgestone, so I was privy to some early sets (perhaps it has changed?).

Bottom line, I have no hesitation buying SO3's, they are pretty clearly the best tire for the conditions, treadwear and money. They do not race like the SO2PP, but are certainly within just a few % of the SO2PP with MUCH better wear and noise.

The look? Oh my, heheh, that's just a cool tire!

For those on a budget, check out the RE950. Solid performance on a budget...sort of the wet corollary of the AVS intermediate (for those that know this tire in the dry, yum for the sum).

i did experiece a slight rub when the wheels were at about full lock, and the suspension compressed...

i'm have no immediate plans to track this car though... so it's not often that happens... more or less when entering my driveway or any other driveway with a lip...
