Broke my 9 wing at the track a couple of years ago. Couldnt take the load

Now, located in the parts impound in me backyard

The carbon fiber section of a IX wing is hollow instead of cored like an VIII. Gurney flap + headwind on track + high speed = broken wing.

Yep, that just about sums it up LOL It was a very windy day at Fontana when it occurred

The carbon wing snapped so hard it actually dented my nice black trunk. A double whammy

If you read that thread, I posted that I didnt believe downforce could have done that (was I wrong)

Both my stock wing with my stock trunk are sitting on the upper bunk of my kids bunk bed. Good thing the kids are still little and both sleep on the bottom bunk! LOL
