Do you think this splitter is suitable and useful for a track car? I'm concerned about it deforming or breaking at high speeds.

I have a Beatrush undertray on my car. That may reinforce this AutoVation splitter.

Thanks

It is a little heavy but I was doing 140+MPH runs without a problem and you can DEFINITELY tell that thing is on the front while driving.

What was the difference in how the car felt?

Will it mount with the Beatrush undertray?

i would safetly assume it bolts up with the beatrush undertray... if u look closely, it doesnt bolt to the bottom of the bumper.. it bolts up in between the front bumper and the lower lip..in a few pics, u can see its bumper, splitter, then the lower lip... so i dont see it interfering with the undertray

The lower lip will NOT fit with this splitter. It replaces it essentially.

The splitter gave the car a high speed stability and when even lane changing you feel more planted. The car even on just springs felt great.

Haha, the mere mention of my evo is immediately labeled as "RICE"!
Those MF'ers on Bimmer forums suck big time...

This "borderline" was too funny...

I've been running that splitter since '05 lol Its way stiffer than the cf ones, I really cant believe people run the cf ones. This one is mounted higher and doesn't flex. It keeps the factory undertray with the air channels and low press area. You will cut your ankle the first time you walk around it in your garage or at night lol.

Thanks, Geoff!

If the stock undertray/splashguard still fits, then the Beatrush unit should as well. I really want to keep the aluminum undertray because my brake duct system mounts to it. It is also much more rigid than the stocker and might help keep the splitter from deforming at high speeds.

With that solid undertray it ain't gona move one bit! you may want to reinforce the lower lip screw holes. Installation instructions have you to cut out the tabs that the lower lip screws go through - I dont recommend that - the lower lip moves down 1/8" so just run the screw though the lip mounting tab, your gona need as much material as possible for strength, you'll see when you take lip off.
I've nailed a few cones (autocross) over the years and pulled the lip off a few times through the slots that i dont recomend cutting, I just added larger washers over the lip screw holes.

Thanks for the tip! I am going to get the splitter and give it a try. It seems well designed. I'm perplexed that it isn't more popular.

I would contact the manufacturer. They are on ebay and have been responsive to my questions.

Is this front splitter still made? I looked at the autovation website and the "click to order" button doesn't work anymore. Anyone know?

Thanks
