New disc Performance Friction

Redid engine bay

Lets fast forward

Here are some pictures from SpoCom last year. I talked to the Judges they siad I lost JDM to a US Evo 8 with add ons. I asked why they said because they did not have enough JDM cars, They said I should have WON! but it was not far.

SPOCOM judging system is garbage.

Car has been updated on my tune by Full Funtion. FFTEC

And some other things recently added. Full Function helped me out with doing my exhaust which they routed it same a Evo8/9 oppose the opposite side standard Evo4-6 route.
And added SS vband flange.

They also helped me out with adding a new Radiator and relocating the icvic outlet hole and welded on my bungs.

I will have Full Function doing a Custom tube subframe, and my AWD floor.
They been a great help.

Also new suspension Thanks to Terry @ Fortune Auto, Been a great help.

How far off from an actual Evo would you say you would be once you finish the AWD conversion?

Evos are supposed to have additional welds, braces and whatever it takes to get a much stiffer chassis then just what amounts to an AWD Mirage/Colt/Lancer which they also built.

I imagine older Evos like the I,II and III probably don't amount to much more then just AWD turbo Lancers but I imagine each generation later the probably did more and more to make it a stiffer better handling car.

Just wondering. Great looking ride.

There are 3 main differences between the Evo 4/5/6 and the USDM Mirage sedan.
Strut tower to firewall braces (easy to add or upgrade, they're just thin sheet metal),
a different trunk floorpan (only difference is the Evo pan is made to clear the rear
diff), and I believe the last difference was the bolt holes for the front 3 point strut
brace into the firewall and the backseat cross brace bolt holes not being there on
the Mirage. Other than those it's completely the same chassis.

Well as of now everything on the car is EVO, Evo4-9
From the carpet to the gas tank, to the interior and suspension.

I was planning on leaving the Evo rear suspension cross member and everything on for now to utilize the rear Evo aluminum suspension over a mirage.
But not add the rear Diff. Like I said I have no need to go AWD at the moment. I have plenty fun with it now,and it being FWD gives me a edge of skill down the road.

But as in the reinforced frame as a Evo No not much I was planning to add just a few seam welds. Top suspension hat area, front wheel well and a roll cage to pull it together. The reinforcement that has been added to a stock evo is also for safety and to pass vehicle inspections a they get more intents over the years.

You can ask anyone who has driven a Evo4-6 and that own a Evo8/9 whats the difference? They will most likely say the Evo 4-6 feel more RAW more of a real race car, you can feel everything. The Evo8/9 more comfort, refined not so much as your driving it but it is driving you.

I want this to stay very light that is my edge in the game. 2300lbs now, I have added up how I can drop to 2100lbs. My Goal is 2k in weight.

Just a Cheap Carbon Fiber spark plug cover Not sure what company.
The cheap CF clear coat bubbled up after some time from the heat. I re epoxied it.
