Definitely makes the dashboard more appealing, but where did you put the 3 gauges that were there before, or did your car not come with the oil temp/batt voltage/boost gauges?

Does anyone make a kit like that? I know orbital doesn't make that kit anymore

I think RS and MR came with the factory 3 gauge setup as standard, but the gauges are optional on the GSR and SE. My SE didn't have the gauges, then again, the previous owner also did the 2-din setup before I got it.

Nice setup to the OP, I love my 2-din setup as well.

Sorry for the delayed response -

Yes it's fairly custom - guy just using the factory hvac panel, cut out and put into a radio relocation kit and then fiberglassed over and over.

_______, yes I had the bypass done - you actually have to move a pin, otherwise Pioneers will recognize that you've been messing with the parking brake. Exact instruction for it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3_GvJ7ACbk

Touge, the fit is 100% spot on, the hvac used the factory relocation kit. The double din panel is from Japan, what they used in their lancers over there, and also fits 100% perfectly. The previous set up with the Orbital was TERRIBLE though. There are no gaps etc on the new setup.

Matt, no 3 gauges, not MR and didn't opt for it if it was an option

Chaotic, the person who made it used a matte black finish - it does look pretty bad in the picture with the flash, but in person it looks very good/smooth/clean.

viet - it was a custom job, I'm sure you can ask many custom fabbers.

Eric - Thanks, it really is awesome. I think the double din set up is invaluable for the older gen cars, esp with the hvac and all. Definitely makes the car a way better daily driver, esp with bluetooth ipod etc on and on, and just having a touch screen in dash navi has been invaluable for me personally. And way better then those flip out touch screens

Slick setup! I wish I bought the right double din surround for my setup.. The one I ordered has the same grain finish as the rest of the dash...

Yup, I love it, makes it that much more enjoyable when I drive. However, the headunit I have is kinda buggy sometimes (the previous owner put it in), and the screen becomes unresponsive when in cold temperatures, and it's getting kinda annoying...

would you mind telling me how the 2din was mounted? i just installed the avh-p4300 and it isnt centered around the jdm 2din bezel. also, the bottom sticks out a little too much which wont let the black surround piece sit flush to fill in the gap. im using the stock radio brackets to mount mine. what was used for yours? pictures would be nice. pm me if you can
