Or it could also be called economic inefficiency , like the girl next door that MUST have the Louis Vitton bag that works just the same as a cheaper one.

If the quality isn't substantially less, and is not functionally different, what you mean by "expensive taste" and "high standards" is nothing more than "wasting money" and "throwing it down the drain."

some more contradictions:

1) expensive taste
-i don't think anyone that drives an EVO has "expensive taste" in the true meaning of the word. I would argue that us EVO owners have FUNCTIONAL TASTE for what is economically efficient, i.e. a $30k car that runs with the very best of them.

2) "best of the best"
-aside from the obvious subjectivity in using such a term, what do YOU personally define as best? Even on the REAL gaila, you need to take out the front crash beam, open up the area under the bumper that was sealed and enclosed on the stock bumper (and in so doing, sacrifice a bit of aerodynamic integrity).

At some point, efficiency and functionality and practicality will outweight the marginal benefit that the next most expensive thing will yield. This diminishing returns slowly start to eat at your wallet and hint at stupidity. I don't think anyone on here is willing to spend 6K for a suspension set-up that may be performatively only marginally more beneficial than a 2k one.

And put this together with your signature,

If you are willing to sell a 2003 evo in 2005 with under 30,000 miles and a clear title for under 20 grand please contact me with EVOLUTION for the subject of the e-mail. Thank You

, and you get a frustrating "stupidiction" is what i call it.
Im totally down with buying used cars for less, but the reason i would do such a thing is b/c it may prove to be more efficient, especially considering the uselessness of paying the add'l cost of a warranty included in the price of new cars.

but this is hardly the profile of a princess that will only but the best of the best, with expensive taste and high standards. you may have a little rational person inside you just waitin to leap out...that you are willing to "Settle" for a used evo certainty suggests as much.

Have you seen the Gialla bumper up close...its not overpriced considering its quality.

More often than not, the ebay special body kits you see are not worht $50.00, let alone $300...pick and choose VERY carefully. We have had custoemrs get these, only to report that it cost them $500 in prep work so that their $300 bumper was ready for paint...at that point, why not just buy the genuine one whcih requires minimal prep?

aye body kits are sketchy with me.. only reason is because many imitiations are far from being quality.. Although there may be a few out there that are worth the dollars. My choice is to buy a real gaillo since i have not found a perfect imitation of it.

hmm...$325 for a fake knock off **PLUS** you still gotta pay for shipping and hope that a "fly by night" company sends you the kit or even the correct imitation kit.

And of course, if it is like other imitation kits that I've encountered, unless you can do it yourself, then add $250-$400 for a good body shop to test fit, cut, shave, re fiberglass it, and re shape it before even painting or installing it **PLUS** you don't get the carbon fiber brake ducts **PLUS** it is considered a fake by all in the know.
And of course let's not forget the B.S. that most body shops will put you through and the increased amount of time they will have your car at the shop in order to make it fit.

when all is said and done, you saved yourself about $300 but gained a whole lot of grief. Not to mention the amount of lying and hesitation you will do to others and to yourself and the guilt you will feel when peeps asks you, " is that the gialla front end?"

Spend a little more and get the real deal.

Stop wearing them vietnamese imitation AIR NIKKIES and watching movies on your SONNY tv while you're at it too.

lol
