These kits have been out for years now, and I haven't heard of any turbos getting ruined. If you are nervous though, almost all vendors sell carbon fiber block off plates that you can place in front of the turbo inlet, and some even provide small filters that fit in front of it.
We have 2 evo's so what does it matter who's is who's? Other car has a gt37r and to answer the other guys question the red evo is more of a "track" car and im currently in the middle of changing the setup on it also.
