New Carbon Fiber Weave Patterns

Not sure if this is the right section for this and tried searching to see if its been posted before with no luck. so mods, feel free to move to the right area. figure i post it up for all the fellow carbon fiber addicts. my personal favorite is "wasp". they state that the pattern doesnt affect the strength, and can even make it more rigid.

More info found in these two links:
http://www.carbonfibergear.com/carbo...r-seen-before/
http://blog.fibreglast.com/?p=527

Sample pack that they have availible:

ROOK

GRANDMASTER

WASP

LABYRINTH

ATOMIC

ROSWELL

I like that Grandmaster weave. I'm thinking about buying a stock IM for a 9 and using it as a base (fittings, significant dimensions, etc.) to fab a replica IM of some sort.

I'm pretty sure it has to be weaved. It's not just a big flat slab of material like vinyl, it has fibers like threads of string. All those woven threads are what make carbon fiber.

Do any of the patterns effect performance or weight? It would be cool to see a weave that looks like a mitsu logo.
