JDM Rear Bumper Intrest thread!

Yeah, unfortunately without some spectacular pricing (around $400 painted) this isn't' really going to appeal to many people. Like I said, if you can sell it for a really low price you'll move a lot more and make your money in bulk sales.
I'll keep an eye on this thread in hopes that the price will drop.

Definitely not trying to be a debbie downer here or anything because you guys are a great, reputable company. But what kind of sense does this price make for consumers?
Driveline sells a guaranteed fit, pre-painted guaranteed match OEM bumper for $695 plus shipping.
Take $495 plus paint... that's approximately $250 for paint. That's $745. Even if you guys ship it for free, customers are only saving about $100 over the Driveline supplied OEM bumper that has a factory applied paint job. I would gladly pay the extra $100 for the peace of mind of a perfectly matched, perfectly fitting OEM bumper.
On top of that, customer's still have to deal with the crash beam solution. I think for this product to be successful, you guys really need to re-evaluate your pricing.
Just my $0.02.

$695
IMHO, if it's the replica it should be 400 painted. That's just me. Since, used JDM rear goes for 500-550.

Just as another heads up, because I was curious I had a friend call driveline and ask about the JDM bumper and they are doing it for 895 shipped. Prices Have gone up on this. That's why we were thinking of doing this. We arn't done trying to figure out pricing but I wanted to at least address the guys that think they were 695. The website states 695 but most likely not changed. Either way your looking at 895 from them. We are still thinking of doing something and totally appreciate your feedback!!!
This is a shot in the dark but how about a nose-chopped front evo VIII bumper... granted I know its not as fancy as the jdm rear but I know I'd buy one.

I'm going to paint it myself anyway so if shipping is less then $600 shipped unpainted I'd probably still go for it.
Thank god I got my bumper from Driveline before the price hike!
IMO you guys should work out a deal with a local body shop and sell them pre painted. Shipping is around $100 if not more depending on if you bubble wrap/put it in a large box.
But then again Russell offers them for $5xx and they are oem with perfect fitment.

1. dont care
2. no markers
3. work on fitment. if you do a replica then it better fit damn well, otherwise there is no point in buying it and people may as well just buy one of the other replicas or save a bit more and buy the real thing
