evo 7 parts

evo 7 parts

i see mad people putting the 9 front end parts on their 8s and i was wondering are the 7 parts just as easy to fit? i dont see it too often and i was considering doing the hood,tails and front bumper along with a jdm 9 rear bumper

I know the rear bumper is a direct fit (with removal of crash beam), as my coworkers has it on his 8. I believe same is true for spoiler/hood/front bumper, though front bumper may also require removal of crash beam since Japanese cars do not have them and the 7 was never sold in the U.S.

don't forget the plastic undertray guard thingy for the front, I'm pretty sure you'll need to replace that too.

yes, they are a direct fit onto the body of the ct9a chassis... BUT, to do the front end, you must use the hood AND front fascia as they were designed different and have different angles than the 8/9.. but they will bolt right up

and just as a side note... the evo 7 valve cover is interchangeable between that and the evo 8, but not the evo 9, as the mivec engine has 2 cam angle sensors versus the evo 7/8 engine having just 1

I heard the evo 7 valve cover needed some minor, yet simple modification to work. Not exactly which mod, but something I read about when "peruzing" the forum.
