lack of rapture - ww viii pictures

After owning a IX and then a X, I'm back in a VIII (2003 WW VIII GSR - 74k miles). It's my first evo that isn't my daily driver. I have some goals for this car in the future. For now I just wanted to get it to a point I was happy with how it drove.

List of vendors I'd like to thank:

John @ Akuma Motorsports (coilover and suspension work) if you are in Central NJ, do yourself a favor and pay them a visit
RussellM @ Mitsubishiparts.net
Eric @ Driveline Motorsports
Jarrod @ Buschur Racing
Emery @ STM
Tommy @ Wheeldude.com

Full bolt ons
Fortune Auto coilovers 8k f/9k r (running -2.2 degrees of camber in the front and -1.6 in the rear)
Rota DPT 18x9.5 +22 wheels (evo x fitment haha)
Dunlop Direzza Star Specs 245/40/18
JDM rear
Poly do luck replica lip
Flat black painted headlights
Jdm VIII MR tails

haha bump for you chat, that is a cleeeeean looking 8. Nice thread title, it gave me a good laugh haha. Interesting to see someone who has an 8, 9, and a X. Much different cars but great in there own way.

why did you sell the X? I am assuming if its not DD your going to go big build eventauall? Last question, what rates are you running on the FA coils (great coils, i like them a lot) and with swift springs?

nicely done, simple and clean. keep us posted on the mods!

thanks, yes I frequent that spot because it's not far from my house and it's better than a parking lot

The X was just not for me. Could never get comfortable in it and it just didn't do it for me like the IX did.

I'm running 8k f and 9k r...generic Fortune Auto springs...good enough for a weekend toy

Looks great. I'm thinking about going with the same setup.

Are these the standard springs or the swift ones?

Hows it ride on the street? Harsh?

Glad to see you back in a ct9a! I cried a little inside when you got rid of your IX. That car was so clean with the bronze ce28's and chopped nose. All is right again with the evo world.

ride is actually pretty good...I went with a custom 8k f/ 9k r set up...standard springs...if I drove it everyday I would have went swifts

Looks great, Do you plan on painting the lip white as well? I didnt really like the paint matched lip on your old setup but thats just my .02

Good choice on the coilovers i plan to get fortune autos as well once i have money to do so. Are the swift springs supposed to make a big difference because i do daily my car.

I will probably paint match it once I do a nose chop I'm not 100% sure

I heard the swift springs are just a better quality
