And that is the problem with some of the newer Evo owners coming over from Honda ownership. I'm a former Honda owner myself but I was modifying them before the VW wheel/offset became all the rage.
Between you and me, the problem stems from folks who know zero about cars trying to modify them, but this only leads up to the actual issue. The real issue lies with the same folks trying to discuss this with those who do know something about cars, and the Internet fleshes it out. These are people who'd likely never meet or speak IRL.

F*ck fake wheels. Every kid trying to fit in runs XXRs/Rotas/Varrstoen/Linea Corse........you get the idea.
You gotta pay to play, people.
(I'm ready for the all the people ready to bash me for this comment)

I never really got calling cheaper wheels "fake" I mean they are still wheels and there are differences between them and the "real" wheels that all the "cool" people are running. I will go ahead and tell you that I had SSR type F's on my X before i sold it since I know someone will call, me out and say I have these so called "fake" wheels. The only reason I got the ssr's was because they are light and i tracked my car often my daily wheels were xxr's. /end rant lol
