And that is the problem with some of the newer Evo owners coming over from Honda ownership. I'm a former Honda owner myself but I was modifying them before the VW wheel/offset became all the rage.

Between you and me, the problem stems from folks who know zero about cars trying to modify them, but this only leads up to the actual issue. The real issue lies with the same folks trying to discuss this with those who do know something about cars, and the Internet fleshes it out. These are people who'd likely never meet or speak IRL.

what's wrong with them having xxr's, not like they do anything with their car other than park it and take a couple of pictures of it.

I hear ya, but very wheel gets played out...just Like CCW's. I see them everywhere!

Just depends on how you rock'em I guess.

I never really got calling cheaper wheels "fake" I mean they are still wheels and there are differences between them and the "real" wheels that all the "cool" people are running. I will go ahead and tell you that I had SSR type F's on my X before i sold it since I know someone will call, me out and say I have these so called "fake" wheels. The only reason I got the ssr's was because they are light and i tracked my car often my daily wheels were xxr's. /end rant lol
