I liked the video and the cars were cool. Not everything done to them I would do but they are still really well done.

I think a lot of Evo performance enthusiasts (drag/auto-x/race) define "rice" not in the old terms of pink wheels, fart cans, stickers, and neon under-lighting but rather in the terms of "functional" parts on a car that would never be used in a performance environment..

The reason some people call "rice" is because why would you put a $1,700 Voltex wing on a car that will never see the back straight of Watkins Glen or Mosport? Why would you put a bolt in cage in a car that would never see a track? Why would you buy $3,000 lightweight racing wheels to cruise up and down the Blvd? etc. etc.

The mistake here is that some of these well-maintained/show cars that carry high-end performance parts also use them in a performance environment, but presumptively it's thought that most don't.
