I am painting the chrome inserts on my silver 8 and just wanted some ideas for the different gloss options availible. The jdms are a flat black and look really sharp. Anyone have any luck with the semi gloss or gloss blacks?

 

i thought ive heard of it being done in semi gloss before either way the flat black looks great
cant stand the silver ! lol

 

I just did mine in white got a WW 03 and think they came out good. Made the hid green to.

made a thread in the northwest region section call "re-did my headlights" it has some pics in there.

 

My car came with evo 8 headlights and tail lights unfortunately, but I re-did the headlights in said flat black. Not too bad, I think they mask the details inside the headlight too much. I'm pretty happy with them considering the 9's with HID lights are like 1700.

Blacked out heads look real good I say go for it and just take your time.

 

Wow the blacked out heads look really good. I tried the tails with a heatgun and the glue on the first one came off really easy but on the second the lens started to crack and the glue just wouldn't come off. Needless to say i/m just going jdm
