James is one of our Mellon Racing Customers, he purchased the car about 3 years ago blessed it and named it Jasmine, the 4 banger was Stock as she can be, and like any evo race junkie immediately as soon as he bought the car he gave the evo some modifications to the exterior, well to be honest 1 week after he purchased it .As soon as James got the exterior hooked on the way he liked, he was ready to cruise his ride on the Hawaiian Streets and set it loose, but pretty soon the car started to act funny and James had to steer in another direction …. Fix up whatever it was that was messing his Motor.


He decides to verify the head and finds 1 rocker just free flowing on its own, with the help of some of his buddies he decides to replace it and while there at it they install some fresh lifters , James was preparing the engine to get it ready for some Tuning with us at Mellon Racing, but soon his Quest for Power would be interrupted.Little did they know the car would just reject the work they had done to it and claim New Internals to be put in, somehow while they had the best intention to get it right like we all do, something came out wrong and the engine was damaged, from what was that noise? to Bent Rods , to ohh My God the car won’t start.


This is where the beater steps up , the Nissan 240SX Sr20DET to help James get around town while the evo sits on stands waiting for the new rebuild engine to come from us at Mellon Racing , It took some time to get everything together but just when James was going to enjoy the car after he had replaced the motor . He got a call and was deployed to Iraq, so off you go lock the car and leave the keys at home son you need to serve the Country.While James is in Iraq he continues to show love to his evo by ordering parts and shipping them to his address in Hawaii , after some time there is no space at home cause its crowded with parts. James serves his country and after sometime they send him back to Hawaii only to find Boxes and Boxes of parts that he had ordered , he decides to skip meals and just install everything on the car as this was like Christmas for him .

Just when he thinks he is in Heaven , the phone rang again ….. James you need to move to Texas, ship the evo thru UPS and get yourself here to serve the country . James now moves to Texas and receives the evo safe and sound were it stands at this moment .

The car is been prepared for us to tune it and James is excited about it , finally James ! we will get the car tuned and Put a Big smile on your face as we all know how hard its been for you and how well you handled everything

As for everyone in Hawaii, nor I or the car are still there. Moved about 2 months ago, and for the year before that, i was in Iraq and she was in storage. That prolly explains why you never got to see her.

I know i havent been on here in a while, but we put down an est. 421hp on 91oct. we are currently tuning to 93oct now (moved to Virginia). Once we finish that, we will be tuning to E85. Thanks to my new ECU map switch, ill be able to switch from 93 to E85 with a flip of the switch! Thanks Mellon for everything!!! Cant wait to see the numbers!!!

oh.. and a seperate 6262 kit is being put together, so ill have a fp black kit with two maps, and an entire (possible fwd facing) 6262 kit that i can throw on with two diff more maps... should be fun! stay tuned!!
