I am going to order today...... You got your guages delivered already serge? This is gunna be an awesome setup for the DASH... Im planning on also getting the ALPINE CDA-9835 mp3 player when it comes this March. With this head unit i can match the color of the DEFI lighting so everything down the center will have that bluish/white color. CAN YOU SAY BLING BLING!!!!!

sorry aint a dvd player only cd/mp3/wma ... Alpines new head swing face head units model 9831, 9833, and 9835 have that mechanism where you can adjust the light and display for up to 252 colors to match anything. This will blend in perfectly with the BF guage lighting scheme.

Climate Control Dial Labels

Here are the Mitsubishi part numbers for the temp, fan, and mode dial labels:

MR500935
MR500932
MR568314

Together, they shouldn't cost you more than $15. Finally, a benefit to sharing components with the econobox Lancer.

Any 60mm gauges will work but If you use a standard depth gauge (about 2 1/8") you will have to trim some plastic and bend the right side radio mount to clear it. The Defi BF gauges are only about 1" deep so they will work great for this application.

I am giving everybody on the list a few more days to prepay and then it will be revised, so yes you do need to prepay if you want to stay on the list. This is the only way I can take care of everybody that has already shown interest. I hope this makes sense to you guys.

I know some people are waiting to see pictures of the gauges installed but I haven't been able to get a set yet. I plan to stop by gruppe-s soon and see if I can just use some for pictures, they are currently sold out of the BF's. I won't finalize the list until everybody has a chance to see the gauges installed.

At any rate after I take care of all the prepaid backorders I will still be producing the panels, hopefully at a faster rate as I am already working on a second mold. Hope that helps clear up the confusion.

Thanks,
Craig

Sounds good to me.

I would also recommend Adam at Z1 for gauges. Although I have not bought mine yet, his prices are right on and seems like a great vendor.

I was on the phone with adam at z1 yesterday when I ordered my bf guages. I was trying to order these rubber boots but he did not have them in stock. I would have to wait till ext month to get them but what he said was you can practically use anything to hold them in place. My best bet was to go to home depot and try to get a rubber ring / gasket that would hold in place.

exactly. Defi makes great products, but i really dont think that a rubber boot is going to make much difference. Ill go to Home Depot as well, pick up something that will work, and then i wont have to go through the headache of waiting for something else to arrive from god knows where. As soon as i get my panel and my gauges, they are going in......

I think it will be pretty easy to secure the gauges into a position using backyard engineering.
