Best size rubber to stretch and stance an 18x8.5 +30?

I've got some RPF1's that are 18x8.5+30 and I'd like give the evo a better stance. I've got Megan Racing Coilovers.

How it sits now :

Rims came with 245/40/18

Would my best bet be a 235/30/18 235/35/18 or 245/35/18?

Then lower the Coils accordingly?

Deffinately do the 235/30, then slam that **** to the ground and run an ***-ton of camber. Just don't ask why your car handles likes poop.

Current tire is correct.

If you want to risk unseating the bead, rolling over the car, and possibly killing yourself...I suggest reporting the post and moving it to Show and Shine.

Those wheels won't work for a stanced look.

Those closest you'll get it keeping the tires and just lowering the car more.

I generally agree with you... But don't you think that's a bit extreme?

I've seen literally thousands of cars online, and hundreds in person, run stretched tires on the street and track. I've driven cars with stretched tires. I've ridden in a handful of drift cars running stretched tires. I don't know anyone who's ever died in a fiery rollover. I have seen tires unseat but that's always been from impact or loss of air pressure.

OP: Check out www.rimtuck.com and search for Evos. A lot of folks put their tire sizes up.

Your current tire width is counter productive to being stanced. 18X8.5. You'll need some spacers to "Stance the car out (aka push the wheels further out). As for stretched tire. Depends on how much stretch you want. See the stance nation thread for reference.

And Vivid its pretty well known that if you want advice on "proper" wheel and tire fitment this is the forum for you. If you are part of this dying fad then you'll get a lot more answers and less flaming in show and shine.

Less flaming comparatively is still a crap ton. Hope the OP has his flame suit on.

the best way to achieve the "stanced" look is by heating the tire to allow it to stretch more. therefore just follow these steps and you will be on your way to "hellflush" in no time!

1) Obtain something to produce a spark. Matches, light, I prefer blow torch.
2) First soak the tires, and then yourself in gasoline.
3) Cover the entire car in gasoline (maybe some fireworks for added excitement)
4) Sit in driver seat
5) Light match. Done!

Your car already wants to kill itself from embarrassment, so your doing us, and it a favor. Thanks!

Okay, mayb a little harsh, prob the 13 hour work day. Just check out stancenation, show and shine, floss w/e, or the V-Dub forums. They can point in you in the right direction as to which size tire will serve your purpose best, whatever that may be. that offset and wheel width will never be "stanced" so consider a wider wheel otherwise it will just not look right since your wheels have no concave face, which is a huge part of stance from what I have gathered on here. 18x9.5 +15 rpf1s with 225/235 seems about right.

Talking to a guy last night, he fit 225 tires on 13 inch wide wheels for a 240, so anything is possible. gag.

I will PM you in detail tomorrow.

It is incredibly foolish and dangerous to drive.
