I have been looking everywhere for a TOP Quality carbon fiber OEM fit hood for the VIII. I just saw the Kansai hood and it looks exactly like OEM, and it even has nice trim around the hood venting Does anyone in the states have one of these or will I have to wait on my duff for 6 months to get one from Japan..?

Can someone please explain to me the point of a carbon fiber hood on a car that comes from the factory with a light-weight aluminum hood??? The point of carbon fiber or composite hoods is to save weight, and I dont see aftermarket carbon fiber hoods saving that much weight over the aluminum hood.

Guess its just a style element at this point....

Im not concerned about the weight loss. Ive already lost plenty of lbs with my rims, suspension, exhaust, etc. And my fat *** is still weighing it down!

You see that Kansai has C/F engine parts now. Spark plug cover and cam cover. They even tell you how much weight you save with them gotta love those guys.
