wayyy wrong man, you will tell its been repainted by the fact that it looks like a good paint job. and a body shop will do a 1000 times better job than the factory..my paint is absolutely flawless, other than the obviously non stock color, you would never know it wasnt a factory job except for the fact its flawless.

Update: I'm actually negotiating a deal on a Black Evo as of now, getting it for $6.5K below MSRP, but the darned sales manager won't take off $1.5K worth of optional accessories on the car. I waded through a bunch of BS and he basically said that he didn't want to sell me the car for that low of a price without the accessories. The funny thing is, my brother, who originally wanted an STi, is now getting the Red Evo since the price is so good ($23.5K before TT&L) that doesn't have any optional accessories. So hopefully I can get him to take off the accessories, or end up caving in and getting the car for 5K below MSRP, which isn't that bad after all.

I went throught the same dilemma before.

I choose to get my preffered color and paid a bit more. I just can't settle with other color even it cost less.

I agree with you 110%... the stock paint from what i've seen sucks... and i've never seen sooo much orange peel on a car that costs 30k, actually, in any car... my car now gets quotes over what a stocker paintjob would, not less... If it's done right, then you don't have to worry about it... just make sure jams and trunk is done, and if you get black, you can leave the engine bay alone and it'll look great... I'll have mine custom painted within 2-years...

Got the cars!!! 25K for the Black Evo with 21 miles and 23.5K for the Red Evo with 14 miles before tax, title and license. Didn't exactly want the front and rear strut bars, shift knob, pedals, instrument cluster surround, brake air guides, and parking brake cover that came on the black one, but oh well, still a good deal. Yeah, I might end up painting the black evo down the road, maybe after it's gotten a few scratches or rock chips, but the black has started growin' on me more and more. Thanks for all the info guys.
