DIY window vents
^ The ones I'd mentioned are for acrylic and a bit pricey. The 3M stuff is available at McMasterCarr but I don't remember where I got the instant bond stuff from. I'm sure if you go to your local Home Depot, there should be some equivalent adhesive and probably much cheaper too.
It all depends on the material you're going to use. For example, if you go with an ABS material, you can use acetone (what's in nail polish) to adhere together. Acetone pretty much melts the ABS plastic together. Then you can go ahead and sand and paint all you want.

i want to use plexiglass, it's a little more flexible than lexan. and they have the right thickness that i need at Lowes. they don't have the right thickness in lexan.

not allow to roll down the window a little at the track. either all the way up or all the way down, because the window can break from vibration and no support from the door frame. these vents will support the window and allow air to vent out.
