Carbon block off plates my alternative to bumper shutters

This is a small project that I did on my car that I drag race on the weekends, and daily during the week. Figured I would try something a little different.

I didn't want a giant bumper/shutter on my car, as I think it is a little " loud" and ostentatious for my taste, so I trimmed up some 2x2 carbon pieces for the bumper and fiber glassed them in.

Comments are always welcome. P.S It held up to 139 mph pass this is weekend, so that was a good test.

this might be a dumb question, but how does your oil cooler get air? i know people do this mainly for drag purposes.

Probably helps some. But doesnt the bumper just act like big pockets. I wonder if you made them bigger and brought them more forward to deflect air around instead of catching it and then pushing it.
I hope that made sense lol
