Evo 9 with Volk SE37K
Evo 9 with Volk SE37K
For the past year I had been browsing Yahoo Japan Auctions looking for a set of SE37Ks, and managed to pick up a set of 18x9.5 +12 for a very good price. I knew rear fitment with +12 offset would require some major body work, so kept browsing for another set in the same width with a less aggressive offset. 3 months after finding the first set, I found a staggered set with rear wheels in the offset I wanted. I placed a bit but lost out, regretting that I didn't place a higher bid as they were really hard to come by. Fast forward a month or so and the same set appeared as the previous buyer had backed out - I placed a higher bid this time around but ended up getting them cheaper than what they went for the first time around. Then I had 2 sets of SE37K:

The wheels were in pretty average condition and I was always keen on spraying them Volk Titanium Silver, so I borrowed a CE28N from a mate who's car you might have seen before:

I used that wheel to try and colour match. Got close enough, they're a shade darker but was happy with it:

I fitted the Ohlins R&T coilovers that had been sitting under my bed for a few months, and picked up some new tyres and finally had the wheels fitted. Not super low as it's my daily driver, might go lower in a few months time. I've been taking my time getting these on, but pretty happy with how the car looks now.
Specs:
18x9.5 +12 front
18x9.5 +28 rear
Dunlop DZ101 255/35/18
Camber: just over -2 deg front, around -1 rear
No fender mods and no rubbing
Fitted pics:

Went for a cruise with some friends to take some pics:
