My WW IX RS

Hello EvoM,

I wanted to make a somewhat new thread of my WW IX RS. Some of you may know me and seen my threads about my black EVO nick named the "Junk Box". For sometime, especially earlier in the year, I planned to buy another EVO as a DD. Ive had always a passion for white EVO's and it seemed more and more they were hard to find. I took my time while searching, found a couple that didnt work out. One day got a call from a local guy with a very clean WW IX RS. At first, I was skeptical about going with an RS for a DD, but I love it. It really brings out the best in an EVO and this car drives, rides and runs like a champ.

I bought the car with 79K miles on it completly bone stock. The car was barely beaten on. The car came with black slipstreams and a set of stock IX wheels with Blizzak winter tires. The interior in this car is 10/10. I really couldnt believe how clean it is. The outside needs very minimal TLC but overall the car is in great condition. I knew i was going to throw some mods at the car to wake it up a little bit. The car bone stock ran great, blows ice cold AC but i needed a little more ponies for everyday driving lol So far, as of today 9/18/12, the mods consist of:

- JMF 02 Housing Dump
- Lower Intercooler pipe (dont remember the brand)
- JMF 3" Intake w/ Filter
- Turbo Back Exhaust w/ Buschur SD rear Muffler section
- Pump gas tune from Devin @ Boostin Performance
- AEM Wideband located on the steering column
- Tein S Tech Lowering Springs
- Power slot rotors/ Hawk Brake Pads
- Enkei RPF1s Silver 17 x 9.5" +38
- Hancook RS-3 tires 255/40/17
Everything else in Bone Stock

Those are the mods and parts done to the car. The 02 Dump/lower pipe/ and tune was done yesterday. The car put down 338AWHP/ 32XTQ on 24psi. I forgot what the TQ was, I will have to look at the sheet again lol. The Car runs absouletly amazing. In my eyes, this is perfect for a daily driver. Rides smooth and runs strong. Enough to have some fun when i want. What an amzing difference before and after. I take my hat off to Boostin again for the work and amazing tune. Car feels like a complete different animal. Please do yourself a favor and go see Devin @ Boostin Performance.

This Friday, 9/21/12 I plan on bringing the car to the local track for fun. I would like to go 11s on full weight and pump gas. Car still retains the stock clutch througout it whole life lol. I sure hope it holds up haha. It will be a tough goal, but i plan to have some fun and make some passes with friends. I will be changing some stuff on the car and adding some more parts as time goes along. But as of right now, that is it. I still need to get the Junk Box out a couple more times this season. Some pics are below and will get the Dyno sheet up ASAP. I will also have some videos this weekend from the track. Stay tuned!!

Pic when i first got her:

Some pics of the parts:

How the car sits now:

I will post some more pics shortly. I threw on a new valve cover. Candy purple. Ill get some updated engine bay pics shortly. Thanks for looking everyone!

Thanks Man! I love the way the SD muffler sounds. Its not to raspy and does not have to much of a drone while driving. It is not too obnoxious for DD to me at least. I definetly reccommend it. It also fits perfect and is very clean looking. I like the way it looks, thats another big reason why I went with it. This weekend ill get some idle videos along with some cruising ones as well for ya

I might make it to MOD Saturday. It all depends on the weather for Friday night. We are heading to the track. If we get rained out, we're going back Saturday.
