Front Splitter beneficial for Dragracing?

As from what I have read it prevents front end to climb up and it basically adds downforce to the front end while at high speeds. So if I am right it's good for a course and not well for Dragracing since it adds weight to begin with and also adds dozens of pounds at drag racing speeds?

Does it create drag? If the answer is yes, then it probably would not make sense

it depends on the setup, if i was going 160+ id rather have a little downforce for some stability at high speeds. if i was driving around in a car going 120-140 then id get buschur racings flat bottom front splitter and flat rear. they reduce drag and dont create any downforce.

I don't see it being beneficial for drag racing. There's a reason drag cars have skinny FR tires... its not for stability.

Not beneficial for drag racing. Any downforce mod really. Trap higher speeds with no wing some have proved.

It all adds up. I went as far to remove wipers, mirrors, rear wing and tape up all cracks in the front end. Made up the small amount I needed
