OEM vs Aftermarkert Fenders
OEM vs Aftermarkert Fenders
I just recently got into a small accident with a fence. Messed up my passengers fender. Wondering if I should buy a new eom fender or if I should go with some aftermarket ones. Any help would be great.
Personally i think Aftermarkets are only good if they are part of a whole "kit" to match the style down the rest of the car.
If your car is stock bodied and just had aftermarket fenders i think it would look goofy, that is just my opinion though.

Aftermarket fenders almost always fit terrible, but if the rest of the car isn't perfect it doesn't make much sense to spend $400 on an unpainted fender. This is assuming you're not going through your insurance.

I had Seibon Carbon Fiber fenders (wider than stock) on my car for a few months. I loved the way they looked, but the fitment was never perfect. I also wasn't running fender liners, which drove me nuts. I eventually went back to stock. An OEM replacement fender would be great because I know members are always looking for them. Unfortunately, I have never seen a stock front fender replica with an OEM quality fit. I would look for a used front fender or bite the bullet and get an oem one.
