I tell you guys, I went to the track here in Vegas on Friday night. There were 2 STIs both running mid 14s. And at least one of them had a catback exhaust. On the other hand, an Evo ran a 13.3 the same night and ran a 14.0 with a bogged launch. Don't know what mods, but sounded stock. Forget the SRT4s. A few of them ran 15s. One broke into the high 14s. They ain't ****.

I always thougt the STI was way faster, but after seeing them run, not so impressive. The Evo seems like it has way better top end with that 19 pounds of boost and better gearing.

It is driver dependant. I was checking out some races at the track a few months back and saw a stock STI run like a 13.3 and 13.4, and another stock Evo ran a 13.7 best time.

 

All depends on the driver and the little bit on the rpm you launch at

 

You can get license plate frames made to read what you want. I have seen it done at malls.

i know it's driver dependent, but goes to show you that the STI does not "run away" from the Evo in a straight line. In fact, when the Evo ran side by side with the STI, the Evo got a bad launch, the STI jumped ahead, and by halfway down the track, the Evo was reeling him in. I think the Evo responds much better to mods and has more potential even being down a half liter.
