Wow, I can't even think of anything good to say about that. It doesn't look like it's going to do what you think it's supposed to. Having just the center cut out is going to create high pressure areas on either corner and create large amounts of turbulence under the rear end.
Also, I hate to say it, but it looks like something that a "Honduh" kids would do.. Like drilling a bunch of round holes in the rear bumper and calling it custom..

Just because the previous owner used the car as a track car, doesn't mean he knew how to construct a functional diffuser.

Being a member of this form for a while I've learned people will give their opinion no matter what. So I’ll take the constructive criticism and ignore the rest...

Not saying I like the looks of this but I'd like to hear from you Craig how to properly construct a rear diffuser if you would.

I don't know how to make custom diffuser, but I never said I knew how to make one either - that's why I have a stock rear bumper.

I think it looks cool as hell. I have no clue how it will preform, but does look cool. Most evo guys have never had there car on a track much less know anything about aerodynamics.

Reminds me of the HKS Kasai rear diffuser for the JDM 7/8 rear bumper.

Authentic 7 tails are definitely ganna happen but as far as the diffuser goes I’m ganna keep it.. The pics don’t give it justice.. The diffuser is constructed of 3 pieces aluminum (excluding the 4 channels in the middle section) that are riveted together and to the bumper. The forward section is riveted and bolted to the bottom of the trunk area high enough that the air flowing past it will not cause I drag. The finishing touches will be pulling it off and reinforcing the section that covers the exhaust and muffler area and repainting it…
