RR VIII RS nose chop
I actually had an EVO 9 front grill that I was planning to put in, but the EVO 9 grill support holes do not line up with the 8. Unfortunately I had to re use my 8 grill which has a small square cutout in the bottom center. Eventually I'll have to re-make the grill with new meshing on the Evo 8 support...
I just replaced my evo 8 front grill mesh after my nose chop. i was having a hard time finding mesh that looked like the oem style of mesh. I ran across some drywall repair mesh at lowes ( i think they well it at home depot as well) it is almost exactly the same as the evos oem grill mesh.
the only hard part of the intall was removing the old oem grill mesh from the grill mesh "support" that bolts to the front bumber. i ended up cutting all but 1/2" of the oem mesh where is is spot welded to the support, and used that 1/2" of mesh to "tie down" the new mesh. i used all the factory mounting points for the mesh and it looks really good. a couple of coats of black plastidip and id say just as good as oem.
