FuelTech Evo VIII - Tampa Bay Tuned
FuelTech Evo VIII - Tampa Bay Tuned
Decided to come onboard and share some media and information on a project we've been undergoing and documenting. Tampa Bay Tuned took on the task of building my personal Evo with the sponsoring assistance of FuelTech Brazil.
Fueltech is a Brazilian based company specialized in manufacturing state of the art performance engine management systems. Many of their cars hold records in their corresponding categories in South America throughout various countries and have within the last year expanded into FuelTech USA. Among some of the cars currently running FuelTech EMS are "Don Omar" MechTech 2JZ Scion 3/4 chassis a 6 second car, "Lucimar Racing" K-series RWD Civic, Tampa Bay Tuned SFWD Civic which improved into the 8 seconds after switching to FuelTech.
Omar Crespo from Tampa Bay Tuned (Area51tuned) has logged many hours working with these systems. Not only has he wired 3/4 chassis Sport Compact cars but has also wired my personal evo. With data logging capabilities, the FT400 installed in the vehicle includes many features. As you can see in pictures below, the computer itself is a high resolution touchscreen which displays many of your needed parameters, while additionally displaying RPMs and shifting points.
Contact Tampa Bay Tuned and ask for "Omar" do discuss any interest you may have. http://www.tampabaytuned.com
Update:
Since the photos and video the Evo put down 600whp on E85 as we wanted to reach the max point for the 416lph single pump. So for those interested in this pump, we were able to make 600whp on 2100cc FICs before running out of fuel. Not bad for a single pump. Full Blown is sending us their double hanger and I'll be upgrading my drivetrain before increasing any more power. This was done on stock tranny and TC with a twin disk competition which will be replaced with the upgraded tranny and TC.
