Dings and Dents

what have you guys got so far?? I noticed my first little ding the other day in the sunlight on the BBY...it's behind the passenger side rear door....looks like someone bumped the rubber trim from their door into mine, made a little dent that looks like a little hail damage ding....not too bad but I know it's there.

I have to do a lot of freeway driving where I live. I've managed to pick up a few spots down on the front of my car from stones and things around the grill. Kind of annoying, but its a car and I love driving it so I'm sure I'll pick up more

Deffinatly. I'm almost thinking eventually of changing from black to silver. The black looks sweet, but it gets dirty so damn fast and I love the way silver looks all polished up.

I just have misc knicks in the paint but no dings yet.

I did have a shopping cart blow off the sidewalk and right into the side of my car as I was pulling out of this shopping center. I got out and luckily there were no dings.

I hate washing my car because I always find new paint chips. I have chips on the fenders, side skirts, hood, and many many chips on the bumper. I'm only at 5K miles too. I'm really pissed off that I didn't spend the extra 1K and put the 3M stone guard stuff on her.

I got 2 door dings in one day, and I park far away from other cars too. Why can't those poeple watch out for the other cars when they open their door.

the stonegaurd has been on the entire front end of my car from day one, I am getting some weird spots on my back bumper right behind the rear wheel but up as high as you can go on the connecting point of the back bumper, if that makes any sense, the paint is just weathering away, not really rock chips, just looks like the leading edges catch sand or something, perfectly smooth but like I said just looks weathered away, mitsu is going to look at it for me sometimes this week, hope they take care of it, also my trunk lid is rubbing the paint off of the back of my bumper where it connects as well, I only have one little ding on the front of my hood, thankfully the stonegaurd saved the paint from being damaged, but it's in a spot on the hood that my paintless dent removal guy just can't get to anyone else having problems with the back bumper? btw my evo is apex silver with a build date of jan 2003

I've heard that the Suby guys have organized a meet where they would get a "ding King" type of guy to come out and fix dings for the group. Anyone willing to set this up?

No dings or dents (yet), I park as far away as possible that nobody would bother to walk that far. Especially at Wally World where all my dings in my previous car occured. Some people just don't care, their cars are so old or they're old and just open the door right on up. DING

I took rock chips on the hood while waiting for 3M to be installed. Touch'em up and install 3M you won't see'em and it'll be protected from now on. My spoiler took a hit from what must've been a huge pebble. Left a nice peanut M&M size chip in it, down to the carbon fiber! Which I'm having taken care of in two weeks. Then there's the driver's side rocker panel area (whee!) Took my rubber door edges off because dirt was getting underneath it and scratching it up. A week later, two rock chips in the rocker panel area... so the door edges are going back on until the 3M is installed properly. I didn't fully explain how it should go into the door to cover the "edge". Shouldn't be able to tell after I touch'em up and 3M goes over it.

It's true you know, the things you own end up owning you.
