autovation.net sell this as a set, but maybe you can ask them to see if you can just get the dead pedal.

7for8,

Ah - did not know that was you -- thanks man....

ReHeat,

Those Autovation.net pedals are really sweet. I just did not want to pay another $100 for a pedal set when I really like the ones I already have. The ones from Mitsubishi actually have little rubber rings in the holes that help with grip. I had no idea it would be this hard to find a dead pedal that matches or even kind of matches.

I plan to give autovation a call and see about just getting the dead pedal if not maybe I'll just get the whole set.

thanks to all for your help...nice to fiannly find out that the pedal I wanted is not even being produced..I can stop looking now and look for somethign else.

thanks again....

EVO KING295,

Sorry but I don't have a steel fabractor and machine shop in my garage.

Seriously - I don't have the equipment, and would not know the first thing about making a pedal cover.

How about you buy the set of pedals from japan... They include the dead pedal... Here's a picture... Then just sell the normal set to someone on here or on ebay... I bought the set about a year ago...

http://www.japanparts.com/shop/shop....ior+%2d+others

Under "Aluminum Sport Pedal Kit" You can even buy the red evo billet crap that they didn't bring to the us... such as the shift knob; etc..

Hope this helps... Plus I think it looks better than the first picture posted... IMHO..

PSI Tex,

Did you install the dead pedal from the Japan set? The US version dead pedal is completely diferent. Different shape and different size. I do like the Red though. It would match the gauges. However the dead pedal is not the right size.

Maybe you can take them back to the dealer if you have not yet installed them like me, and get the set from autovation. Or maybe wait and see if Vanilla Sky has some more made. If he does please let me know I missed out on his first ones he had out to sell. All I am missing is the same pedal for my car

Holy crap... yeah I did... I thought that I had bought them from Graham at Japanparts... Maybe not... Mine looks just like the one in the picture, as far as the holes... but it is longer and skinnier... I'll try to get a pic of my actual on posted.. Now you got me wondering where the hell I bought it from... It was last march or april when I got it.. And I bought them as a set...

PSI Tex,

Thanks man...keep looking and let me know.

MYEVOVIII,

I bought mine from the dealer as an option and had them installed before I even picked up the car... They are not terribaly expensive if I had to scrap them and buya new set. However I like them. I like the way the look and they way they feel.

Vanilla Sky said that this particular pedal is no longer available. Well at least he is not making it anymore. I am on a quest and will keep looking. Will definately let you know if I find one.
