Whats up guys, so this past month i've been working on creating a lip for the evo ix. I wanted to make a lip that looks clean and simple, but out of plastic. I always hated the fact that there arent any good looking lips for the ix in plastic except the ralliart one, which im not a big fan of.

This lip that i am making is similiar in design to the chargespeed and apr, but will be made out of plastic. I made this thing completely from scartch. Started out by molding it out of clay, then fiberglassing it, and the only part left now is to recreate it in plastic similiar to abs.

Would like to know your opinion on it, and to see if anyone would possibly be interested in purchasing one. I am making this lip for personal use, but since i will have the mold, it would be nice to recoup some finances that ive spent on making it.

Great work I agree with you not many lips for the Evo 9's. Are you or have you been able todo a custom lip with the SE lip? This Evo 7 is bottom lip gives me an idea that could maybe be added to the SE lip.

 

No i haven't, but if this works out good i will look into making other lips, maybe get more complex where the lip would actually replace the oem one.

It all depends on the amount of material it will take to make one, but at this point i am assuming around 150 plus shipping.

 

Your already getting buyers your stuff will sell especially if you have more lips done I know me myself and other friends of mine who own Evos always have tried to find a front lip splitter like the ARP but a tad bit thicker. Other then that keep us updated on your projects.

 

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah i definitely want to make sure that the lip can withstand some abuse, somewhat like the oem.

 

I think you have done a really good job there. I feel it looks a little unfinished on the corners, it could do with coming up over the corners of the bumper.

Other than that I like it.

 

Are you talking about like the chargespeed one? Where the sides look like winglets? I do agree about the sides being off a little, I was thinking about maybe chopping them down a little.

Great work buddy! Can you wrap it with a carbon sticker? it will look much better on your white evo....mine also

 

i really like it, but i now have an SE lip as well. i'd swap back to stock for this lip (if mine were still good).
