Small project- modifying wide fenders!

Got my hands on some Chargespeed D1 fenders. TBH the location of the side markers are stupid. The Evo X chargespeed fenders have them in the vent, so I decided to try my hand at a little body work, and move the side marker location.

This is my first attempt at body work, so don't be too harsh.

Anyway, I got a fiberglass repair kit. I used ENTIRELY too much hardening resin, but I can sand that down I guess.

Anyway, all I did was cut the fiberglass sheets, dip them in the resin mixture, then placed them over the hole.

Once I sand, I'm going to fill the spot with body filler, and re sand! More pics to come!

So the body filler dried waaaay faster than I anticipated. Went ahead and sanded down the spots I filled, and there's still some minor low spots to be filled. Then I'll hit it again with some sandpaper and elbow grease.

Nope! I'm trying to go for the look the Evo X has on their version. Instead of the signal being so high up, I'm putting it in the vent area, like this.

I've been busy at work the last few days, and rain is slowing me down. I'll post more pictures soon.
