Hey all, I have an 03 WW with some rexspeed carbon fiber accessories. The mirrors and spoiler are in great shape but the vortex generator is starting to cloud up. I have used "Top Line" polish as well as "Perfection" wax to try and clean it up but the oxidation of the clear still shows. Any suggestions on what compound(s) to use to try and clean this eye-soar from it and protect it from happening in the future?

 

if i were you id take some 1000 grit sand paper and sand all the oxidization off and buy some good quality clear coat with uv protection. i recommend por-15 clear coat because its nice and thick and creates a nice clear layer that wont yellow or fog up.

 

Anyone a fan of "BlackFire" polish or use "22PLE"

 

You have to take off the Vortex, clean it up with soap and water, sand it down maybe 1000, 1500 and finally 2000. Then apply a very strong automotive UV clear coat. Apply maybe 3-5 light coats. Then just polish as regular.
