Front bumpers

So, after doing wheels/tires/rotors/calipers and now coilovers on the way, I want to get to the fact that my front bumper is horrific. I will either grab an IX bumper or Voltex street bumper. Do you guys think the voltex street looks off on stock body Evos or is it fine?

You can't go wrong with either one in my opinion as both bumpers looks good. And the Voltex front bumper looks damn good whether its on a stock bodied Evo or a wide bodied Evo.

Found this picture just now of a nice side by side comparison of a track spec Evo with a IX bumper with what looks to be a SE style lip with a APR splitter and track spec Evo with a Voltex bumper.

What's the condition of your bumper? What color? I'm willing to maybe trade.

I have a voltex rep bumper. And I have my mood with the canards.
Here is a picture with them off...all I have is the bumper.

Those look good...I love nose chopped VIII bumpers but wouldn't know where to buy another new VIII bumper, I'm not a fan if the IX bumper nearly as much. That voltex street is super tempting.

Mine needs a paint job. Rock chips and just overall paint paint condition.

Just look up the part number MN161109WA. One website I found, had it for around $512 base price. I dont know how much the shipping would be for you.

This comes unpainted though.

I do like the Voltex bumper my issue is EVERY evo i see has it, go to any car show or meet and you see the exact same bumper's. Obviously my personal opinion but i want something that is a little different, that being said i would nose chop mine if i did not have a aftermarket bumper i do like the way they look chopped.

Here you go. Kind pricey, but still cheaper than Voltex

You guys are right. While the voltex is very nice and accommodates the evo body unlike some very hideous bumpers, it is pretty played out. I think I'll order an oem VIII bumper.

For the $512 cost of the new 8 bumper Im sure that comes with just the bumper skin. No, mesh, tabs, grills, supports and so on... I bet its a $900 bumper after all those pieces when ordering new OEM pieces. PLUS the cost of the chop, $400-$550? Plus the cost of a cf or paint matched lip, $250-600? Damn that is an expensive nose chopped oem bumper.
