So normally I am quite **** about keeping my evo as clean as can be. I dont like driving it when it gets too dirty, try and avoid rain, yadda yadda yadda...

So I decided to take it on a end of the year trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with my soon to be fiance.

If you ever make this trip, ALWAYS fill up on gas when you can. We were probably 5-10 miles from completely empty and that would have really spoiled the fun.

We started by heading north to Paradise, then hit Tahquemenon Falls, then went North until we hit Lake Superior/Pictured rocks. Turns out there is about a 20 miles stretch of dirt roads which was quite a bit of fun . We ended up staying in Munising. Here are some pictures from the trip, enjoy!

Looks like a fun drive. I really miss the fall colors. Are the PF01 wheels just as light as the RPF1

Yeah they are pretty light. Although mine are 18x9.5 they weigh around 20lbs.

 

Looks like a blast! Makes me even more excited to get another evo.

 

It really was a ton of fun. Had a great time testing the off road capability of the car. It was also hilarious to see the amount of big trucks I passed with confused looks on their faces. Probably thought I was out of my mind bombing through there

 

Gas problems in the UP...the struggle is real.

I took mine all the way up to Houghton for a wedding last year. For one, there just aren't that many gas stations or much of anything up there, tough to find high octane gas.

Have a pasty or 5 while you're up there for me!
