Wondering if anyone has ran one of these on there car as a roof replacement not just an overlay? How was the fitment?

I can't imagine its THAT much different... I think your best bet is referencing the STM thread.

 

Its very different. The Seibon roof is only an Overlay you dont have to cut out the old roof

 

That sounds ghey. What's the point of over lay when you could just stick vinyl on it? Replaced the entire thing may save a bit of weight.

 

The little bit of searching I did says this is true. The Amazon seller notes it as direct replacement but his part no. matches Seibons overlay part no.

Might as well do the carbon vinyl wrap if it's not a replacement

If you want a real carbon roof buy the ams. The seibon garbage is an overlay...that even worse does not fit. Seibon knows it doesnt and advised me to use a vortex generator to cover the gap...tried that..still dididnt fit.

Now i have a 1k carbon fiber paperweight in my garage

 

on a carbon fiber roof how likely is it that the clear coat will peel off like on the spoiler?
