PERRIN Gauge Pod!
negative boost = vacuum...
I think the gauge pod looks nice, but I also would like to see how fast I'm going, how much gas I have, and whether my intercooler squirter is on. I also don't want to drill into my interior bits considering they normally cost a fortune to replace if/when I sell the thing.

how does that piece install? one thing i noticed from the pictures it looks like it is a little high from the steering column. is it possiable to lower it a little? It seems to me if it is lowered flush against the steering column you will be able to see the origional gauges perfect
The pod fits 60mm gauges. The 50mm gauges fit just have to use spacers that come with the pod to make a snug fit.
The picture is hard to get a good feel for how it is mounted. It can't go much lower cause the gauge piece will hit the plastic steering wheel column. Will mention it to Perrin though.
I will try to explain again that you can see the whole spedo, it doesn't block any numbers, and the only gauge you can't see without tilting your head to the side is part of the gas gauge and the gauge that shows if your water spray is on. To me this is not a problem and worth having a great view of your boost, egt and spedo and tach. But it's not for everyone and that is cool too! That is why there are more than one gauge pods available. Later...

yes looks like I'll be getting this when it comes out and i find some extra cash.
Yeah mention it to Perrin, maybe they can make it a tad longer from left to right and then lower it a tad so that it fits perfectly flush with the plastic, allowing you to see every origional gauge.
How does that mount though? you have any installation pictures?

It is easy to install. The top plastic piece comes off after taking 3 screws out in the plastic piece below the steering wheel. Just set it on the plastic where you want it, mark it, and drill three small holes. Screw it together and your set. Put the plastic piece back on and your done.
It is mentioned! But the picture is hard to tell what you really can't see. Also you can move the gauge pod back toward the dash to allow even more to see. As for lower, it is something we can do, but i think when you see it in person you might think different. I am glad people are liking how it looks, and once someone with 60mm gauges posts some pics i think you would like it even more.
