PERRIN Gauge Pod!

I just installed the new PERRIN Gauge Pod for the EVO. Pictures are HERE.

The gauges are in a perfect location imo. They are so easy to read! The first thing I noticed was you don't have to look away, its right in front of you. The tach is dead center with your two most important gauges on the sides.

The gauges do block the middle of the spedo, but you can see all of the numbers and needle just fine, just blocks the center of it. It also blocks part of the fuel gauge and the gauge with "Lancer" on it. At least where I installed it and the position of my steering wheel.

As you can see it is a unique design and I think looks very cool with the Momo steering wheel. Just wanted to show it off. Perrin said it should be available sometime next week at authorized dealers.

Thanks! I don't think a 3 gauge pod is in the works, but am sure if there is a demand for it he will look into it.

Hey guys using the Auto Meter single pods (like stvbreal).

I simply used some industrial strength adhesive backed velcro (3M), to secure the metal housings directly to the steering wheel cover so that I would not have to use the mounting brackets. A little strip will do, and if done right you can’t even tell it’s held by velcro. The cup will just appear that it is connected directly/flush to the steering wheel cover. More importantly, your standard sized guages will hardly block the view to the stock cluster. I have been out on several track days and have driven some crazy roads around here since October of 03 when I did this, and the velcro still is holding just fine. IMHO it looks much cleaner than those elevated brackets.

Just thought I would share,
Jason

IMO it looks nasty. It covers most of the original gauges.

Not everyone is going to like it. I just wanted to show people another option is available. However I did want to state this gauge pod doesn't cover the original gauges. It was hard to capture with the camera what you actually can see. I can see all the gauges fine except for the gauge that says Lancer and part of the fuel gauge. Later...

Hey HAALN, are you the same guy that put up the Vorspann site?

Did you get the FMIC directly from PERRIN himself, or did you go through Matrix... just curious? Either way, would you mind sharing with me what you paid (you can email me direct at jasonhenshaw@yahoo.com)?
